Healthier US School Challenge
USDA has created a Healthier US School Challenge. Schools can qualify for the awards if they meet the established guidelines. The goal is to improve the health of children by improving the school environment. In an effort to reach the required guidelines and submit an application, we may be improving the quality of health education and nutrition received by the students.
Suggestion to have choices including the new salad which is being served in the high school and middle schools because it has been well received by the students.

Additional information may be need to confirm that we are receiving enough materials for all grade levels as well as the materials necessary. The goal needs to be to find out what has been purchased at the elementary school and then confirm that it is being utilized. John Howard and Yolanda Zermeno will follow up with the elementary administration and report back with finding.
